Lordswood 1st XV

Captain : Chris Callaway

Lordswood first team have had a major re-organisation this year having dropped back to the Kent Leagues due to problems fielding a side in the more widely dispersed London League. Having requested to enter at Kent Division One level they were disappointed to find that they had to start at the bottom again and play in Kent Division Two. However, this has allowed many second string, and even a few third team/vets players to play for the first team.

With a new kit, supplied by Medspray, the first team have had a very good season so far having just guaranteed winning the league and have not lost a game in league or cup competition and at time of writing face Datfordians (who top Kent Division One) in the semi finals of the Kent Vase on the 28th of March.

The new system employed by the first team, of a manager and captain with fitness training, appears to be working well. Success on the field accompanied by a responsible attitude towards subs and membership sets a good example to the rest of the club.
